Early Registration Now Open For 29th Annual Los Alamos Dog Jog

DOG JOG NEWS RELEASE

Early bird registration is now open for the 29th Annual Los Alamos Dog Jog, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Rover Park in White Rock. Organized by the Los Alamos Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals (LAFOSCA), this beloved community event features a sanctioned 5K run and a 2-mile walk.

Registration Details:

  • Early Bird Discount: Participants can save $5.00 on their entry fee by registering on or before Sunday, April 5, 2026.
  • Online Registration: Available through Givebutter.
  • In-Person Forms: Registration forms can be picked up at Pet Pangaea or Ridgeview Veterinary Hospital.
  • Mail-In: Completed forms and payment can be mailed to: Dog Jog Registrar 155 Monte Rey S. White Rock, NM 87547

Event Highlights:

  • All registered individuals will receive a commemorative T-shirt featuring a logo designed by a local student.
  • Participants will receive a packet filled with local advertising and educational information related to dog health and safety.
  • Prizes and awards will be presented to the fastest runners, as well as to walkers and dogs in various “fun” categories.
  • Dog treats will be available at the finish line for all participating canine companions.

The Dog Jog is the primary fundraiser for LAFOSCA, an all-volunteer non-profit that provides financial assistance for catastrophic veterinary care and spay/neuter vouchers for animals in north-central New Mexico.
