If you’re looking to grab a great breakfast burrito for only $6 on your way to work, the high school or your classes at UNM-LA, the Hideout Cafe opens at 6 a.m. and offers a whole variety of burritos to choose from. The cafe can easily be accessed by parking in the main UNM-LA lot off Diamond Drive and going up to the Student Center at Building 2 on the upper level.
Open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., the cafe offers a quiet, spacious dining area for those who wish to just relax and enjoy breakfast or lunch, but service is quick and easy for those who want to grab their food and go. Lunch begins at 10:30 a.m. and includes a reasonably priced at $10 soup and salad buffet.
The breakfast menu includes bacon green, sausage red, chorizo Christmas, no meat green, bean and cheese or no chile burritos that are available to grab and go from 6 a.m. for $6 each. Additional breakfast items include Huevos Rancheros, Chilaquilies and the Basic Burrito.
On the lunch menu are the Lobo Burger, Club Sandwich, Pastrami & Provolone Sandwich, Patty Melt, Fish & Chips, Carne Asada or Chicken Burrito, Chile, Cheese and Fries Burrito, Veggie Burrito and Relleno with Carne Asado Burrito.
Los Alamos diners will recognize Hideout owners and staff from their other successful location, Senor Tortas, inside Smith’s Marketplace on Trinity Drive where they will continue to operate.
