Numerous Los Alamos County elected officials have announced their endorsement of Katharine Clark, current SF County Clerk, for New Mexico Secretary of State, citing her effectiveness as Santa Fe County Clerk. Clark has led one of the most advanced election operations in the state. Santa Fe County consistently delivers high-turnout elections among New Mexico’s largest counties, demonstrating that voter participation, accessibility, and operational discipline can be strengthened simultaneously. Santa Fe results are announced on Election night because of the knowledge,  leadership, and training Katharine has shared with her staff.  

Before serving as Santa Fe County Clerk, Clark built extensive experience in New Mexico campaigns and public policy and has directly supported Los Alamos’ representation. She assisted Christine Chandler during her successful campaign for the New Mexico House of Representatives, and previously served as field staff on Stephanie Garcia Richard’s successful campaign for the State Legislature representing Los Alamos and then for the statewide office of Commissioner of Public Lands. Katharine’s work on those local and  statewide campaigns reflect a long-standing professional relationship with Los Alamos and a practical understanding of how local communities connect to statewide elections and governance.

For these reasons and others, Los Alamos County elected officials who were able to be reached are proud to endorse Katharine Clark for New Mexico Secretary of State.
