Renowned Northern New Mexico artist Toby Morfin is back with another great Dia de Los Muertos Fine Art Show set for Saturday, Nov. 1, this time set in Santa Fe. Over the last 17 years, Morfin has curated and presented top notch art of all media in Espanola, Taos, Santa Fe and the Poeh Museum in Pojoaque.

As always, most of the artists in this year’s show are from Northern New Mexico, but each year Morfin also finds talented artists from California, Arizona, Colorado and further afield. He takes great pride in professionally hanging all the artwork to really showcase the artists. His Dia de Los Muertos always have a different vibe with exciting activities on the side.

The opening reception for this year’s event takes place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1 at Pranzo’s Italian Grill, 321 Johnson Street in Santa Fe. The show runs through Nov. 13. The opening reception features live music by the band Divino including the debut of “Bailandos Muertos” by Anthony L. Lucero.

In conjunction with the opening reception, the 2nd Annual Dia de Los Muertos Cruise, hosted by Joaquin Salazar, will roll out from 491 Old Santa Fe Trail and celebrate all the way to Pranzo Italian Grill.

And if that’s not enough, the after party is set for 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Fernando Ruiz’s Escondido Restaurant on the corner of Corazon and Agua Fria at El Camino Crossing.
