AAUW NEWS RELEASE

AAUW-Los Alamos (American Association of University Women) will hold its Fall Luncheon Saturday, Sept. 27 from 12 to 2 pm at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2390 North Road, Los Alamos. Come join us to learn about AAUW and its mission to advance equity for women and girls.

We will start our program with two Middle School girls from Pojoaque who attended Tech Trek this past summer, a week-long STEM camp at New Mexico Tech. The camp offers girls hands- on, problem-solving classes emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. See this transformative AAUW camp through the eyes of two recent campers.

Joining us will be Rep. Christine Chandler, who will discuss the upcoming special Legislative session as well as the challenges of addressing teen crime in our state. Rep. Chandler will also answer questions from attendees. Finally, upcoming AAUW-Los Alamos activities and study groups will be introduced.

This catered luncheon is open to the public and free for all guests. Come join us as our guest and learn about AAUW’s work and outreach. We will meet in Gibson Hall on the church’s lower level, off the main parking lot.
