Thinking about running for the School Board? Want to learn more? Los Alamos Public Schools will host an informational meeting for potential School Board candidates on Monday, August 18 in the School Boardroom starting at 5:30 pm.

Los Alamos County Clerk Michael Redondo will open the meeting by providing information about the filing process and campaign requirements. Current school board members will then host a question and answer session for potential candidates to learn more about school board roles and responsibilities, time commitments and more.

Two seats for the Los Alamos Public Schools School Board will be on the ballot this November. Seats currently held by Ellen Specter, District 1, and Ryan Adams, District 2, are open. Both positions are four-year terms. LAPS districts may be viewed here.

Early voting runs October 7 through November 1, 2025. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
