Come drive a bus for us! Los Alamos Public Schools is currently hiring bus drivers, Starting pay is $33.00 per hour, but hourly rates increase based upon experience. Check out the salary schedule for more information. Substitute bus drivers start at $30.95 per hour.

We have paid training for you to obtain the required Commercial Driver’s License. Additional driving opportunities are available for athletic events and field trips.

LAPS employees are eligible for PTO, medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, YMCA membership and a retirement plan (NMERB). In addition, there are opportunities for continuing and advancement, and enhanced retirement funding. Substitutes are not eligible for benefits.
