How was the European Holocaust possible?  How could a Christian Europe that originated the ideal of the rights of man and the value of individual citizens—how could Europe decide that certain populations weren’t human enough to be afforded these rights? And more, for humans alive in the world today who are surely cognizant of the Nazi Holocaust after which the world declared, “Never Again!”—why are we doing it again now in Gaza? 
 
Offering trauma-healing work to a group of Palestinian women tortured in Israeli prisons, Jewish trauma therapist and Holocaust survivor Dr. Gabor Maté, tells the suffering women: “There’s no Post Traumatic Stress here because the trauma’s never Post.”  Not for the Jews.  Not for Palestinians.
 
Where Olive Trees Weep offers a window into the struggles and resilience of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation. It explores themes of loss, trauma, and the quest for justice.
