Practice Your Wuthering Skills For ‘Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’

Are your wuthering skills out of date? Have you never wuthered? Would you like to learn more about Los Alamos’ “The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever” (TMWHDE)? Join us as we practice our wuthering skills at the Mesa Public Library and the White Rock Library on Monday, July 14. Wutherings will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Whether you join us for any of these optional informational practices or not, you are welcome to join us for Los Alamos’ first ever TMWHDE on Saturday, July 19th, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Ashley Pond. Event is free and open to all—all genders, all ages, and all dancing abilities. We ask that you please register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-most-wuthering-heights-day-ever-los-alamos-tickets-1388900963169

Check out our website (https://sites.google.com/view/tmwhde-los-alamos-2025) for more dance tutorials and other information. Also check out our new Instagram account as we keep you updated on wuthering throughout Los Alamos: @WutheringLosAlamos.

Wear your red dress (or other red clothing), put on your dancing shoes, put a red flower in your hair, and have fun!

TMWHDE is based on Kate Bush’s 1978 song, “Wuthering Heights,” which in turn is based on Emily Brontë’s book of the same name. The idea originated with “Shambush’s The Ultimate Kate Bush Experience,” presented at the 2013 Brighton Fringe, an alternative arts and music festival in the United Kingdom. It is now a global phenomenon, and we’re bringing the TMWHDE to New Mexico!

Come wuther with us!

Chloe & Marjorie are organizing this event with kind permission from our Wuthermuthers, Shambush, and global facilitator and organizer, Samantha Wareing.
