A large number of people attended the “No Kings” rally at the Pond today. There was ZERO police presence to insure the safety of the demonstrators. Many people wanted to cross Trinity, but did so at the risk of their lives. The least the police department could have done was to place a patrol car with flashing lights at each end of the demonstration so traffic would slow down. Even better, they could have closed off the right lane on both sides. But instead, they did nothing. 

And on the topic of crossing Trinity, when is the County finally going to put in a badly needed pedestrian activated crossing at the Pond? It is long overdue.
