Los Alamos ScienceFest, now in its 18th year, celebrates the history and science of Los Alamos through fun and engaging activities and events for people of all ages. Each year, thousands typically participate in Los Alamos ScienceFest week and Discovery Day. Returning this June 20-28th for its 18th year, Los Alamos ScienceFest will feature a dynamic line-up of activities for all ages, celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) topics under the theme, “Catalysts & Currents.” Join us for Discovery Day on Saturday, June 21st from 9 am-2 pm at Ashley Pond Park in downtown Los Alamos.
It is our mission to:
- Celebrate the scientific heritage and excellence of our community by showcasing cultural activities for people of all ages
- Connect with scientists and engineers and experience how science affects our everyday lives
- Raise awareness of STEM education (and future science and technology)!
- Enable enrichment through science and technology
