NMDOT NEWS RELEASE

The Rio del Oso bridge on U.S. 84 in Chili will have one lane closed from 7a.m. until 7p.m. from May 27, 2025, to May 30, 2025, while crews replace the railings on the side of the bridge deck. A flagging operation will be in place to allow motorists to safely pass through the construction zone.

Motorists should expect delays and are urged to plan travel accordingly. Drivers are reminded to exercise caution in the work zone, follow all posted signs and detours, reduce speed, and stay alert for construction personnel and equipment.

Hasse Contracting Inc. has been contracted to complete the work.
