The Los Alamos Tuff Riders Mountain Biking Club meets every Tuesday at 5:30 PM at Sullivan Field, snow or shine. Everybody is welcome and we offer beginner and advanced rides led by experienced riders. This week’s ride was a bit chillier than usual, but the temperature was perfect for some intense climbing up Technical Perimeter. Although it was snowing, the moisture made the dirt tacky which actually improves traction.
We often encounter and remove deadfall like the downed 50-footer from the trails. We also organize monthly trail maintenance projects, women’s rides, and youth rides through Tuff Tykes. You don’t have to be a dues-paying member to join us on rides, but as an IMBA-sanctioned club, your membership fee helps support mountain biking projects in our community and across the world. It also gives you access to perks like gear discounts, quarterly and holiday club dinners, and our Discord server.
Visit our website, Facebook group, or join our mailing list for more info.
