Los Alamos High School NJROTC Unit Competes In March 11-12 Capital City Drill Meet in Santa Fe

The Los Alamos High School NJROTC unit competed March 11-12 at the annual Capital City Drill Meet in Santa Fe. Cadets did an absolutely outstanding job in everything they competed in and gave it their all.

Facing tough competition from teams across the state, the cadets demonstrated outstanding discipline, teamwork and physical endurance, securing high placement in various events.

The units hard work paid off with impressive results:

  • 2nd Place – Female Color guard
  • 2nd Place – Uniform Personnel Inspection
  • 2nd Place – Unarmed Regulation Drill
  • 3rd Place – Male Physical Fitness
  • 3rd Place – Female Physical Fitness
  • 3rd Place – (Kim) Male Sprint-Drag-Carry
  • 2nd Place – (Person) Female Standing Power Throw
  • 3rd Place – (Kim) Top Male Athlete

These achievements highlight the cadets dedication to both precision drill and physical fitness, key components of the NJROTC program. Their success at Santa Fe High is a testament to the countless hours of training and preparation they have put in. With their sights set on their next challenge, the team is working even harder to refine their skills for the upcoming drill meet at Cibola High School in Albuquerque.

Determined to build on their recent success, the cadets are pushing themselves in drill practices, physical fitness training and team coordination.

As they prepare for their next competition, the NJROTC cadets continue to exemplify leadership, discipline and teamwork qualities that will serve them well both on and off the drill deck.
