It’s almost time for preschool! Registration for the Los Alamos Public Schools Preschool program for 4-year-olds opens Monday, March 3. The district has preschool at all five elementary sites. Students attend preschool Monday – Friday on the same schedule as each
elementary school from 8:10 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.

A child who is 4 years of age prior to 12:01 a.m MDT on Sept. 1, 2025 may enroll for preschool for the 2025-2026 school year. Go to https://www.laschools.net/registration for more information and to register.

Preschool students not only learn core subjects such as reading and math, but also participate in events at the school sites, including special classes, such as Art, Music, PE and Library. There is no charge for tuition, snacks, breakfast or lunch.

“Our preschool program prepares students to thrive in school,” said Preschool Director Jennifer
Washnok.
