Wish you could show a particular teacher a little extra love? The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation is sponsoring a community-wide campaign to “Shower” LAPS teachers with things they need for their classrooms.

From now through March 14, you can go to https://showerlove25.givesmart.com and donate any amount towards a teacher’s wish list item. LAPS Foundation will purchase the item for the teacher once the item donation amount is fulfilled. It’s a simple but effective way to show our teachers how much they are appreciated.

In addition to supporting teachers, your donations directly impact students and provide them with extra learning opportunities they wouldn’t have without community support. Last spring our community donated over $9,000 to help all the schools get educational materials like books, curriculum, art supplies, outdoor learning items, etc. With the Foundation’s additional match, almost $20,000 went to our schools.
