Beehaus
Los Alamos
Dear Los Alamos Community,
Last Friday, January 24, we celebrated the grand opening of Beehaus at 147 Central Park Square, a space I share with the wonderful and beloved business Creative Masterpieces by Katherine Gabriel. It was a beautiful day, full of warmth and support from so many of you who stopped by to celebrate with me. Your kindness was a hug to my heart.
I have to confess, though, that just minutes before the event started, I was trembling with nerves. Not everything went as planned, and I didn’t get the chance to properly express what this milestone means to me. So, I’m writing this letter to share my heartfelt gratitude and let you know just how much it means to me to be part of this amazing community.
Let me introduce myself a little for those who don’t know me yet. I’m Margarita, though some of you may remember me as “the empanada girl” in 2022, or more recently as “the one who paints Oppenheimer.” Both nicknames make me smile—thank you for them!
I’m originally from La Cesira, a small farming town in Argentina with just 2,000 inhabitants. Growing up, I never imagined life would bring me here to Los Alamos. I arrived three years ago with my husband Martín, a quantum physicist, a fan of music, and my best friend. I’ve always been passionate about art—I studied fine arts, managed two cultural centers, biked across South America painting murals, and even dabbled in dance and performance art. Life is an incredible journey.
Beehaus is the product of a dream born two years ago, fueled by conversations with friends and family in Argentina. We saw how tough things were becoming for artists and environmentalists in our country, and we wanted to create something meaningful that could support both causes. Beehaus combines creativity, marketing, and sustainability. Today, it’s a collaboration between my sister Agostina Ryan and two amazing friends, Agustina Olazarri and Agustina Díaz, who work from Argentina, and Kaeden Harding and me here in Los Alamos. Our mission is to provide high-quality digital marketing and design services while helping people—and bees—thrive.
As Beehaus grows, we hope to create more job opportunities for the local community here in New Mexico. Whether you need help with branding, social media videos, or Google Ads, we’re here to help. Visit us at www.beehausthemagic.com or email us at hello@marketingbeehaus.com—we’d love to hear from you!
Finally, I want to thank you all again for your incredible support. Los Alamos has truly become my home, and it’s all thanks to the people who make this community so special. I hope to see you soon, whether it’s at Beehaus, around town, or at one of our future events.
With gratitude,
Margarita
