NNMCAB NEWS RELEASE

Dr. Inés Triay, Technical Review Team Lead, will be the featured speaker at the January 28
meeting of the Northern New Mexico Citizens’ Advisory Board. The meeting will be held from
1:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., at the Cities of Gold Ballroom.

Dr. Triay will present the findings from the Hexavalent Chromium Expert Technical Review. The Board will hear updates from Jessica Kunkle, Manager of the Environmental Management, Los Alamos Field Office; Brad Smith, President and General Manager, N3B; and JohnDavid Nance of the New Mexico Environment Department.
The Northern New Mexico Citizens’ Advisory Board is a Site-Specific Advisory Board to the
Department of Energy. The board is comprised of stakeholders from across northern New
Mexico who work collaboratively on recommendations to the DOE regarding environmental
remediation of legacy waste at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
