The UNM-LA Endowment currently has a 1 for 1 match through a U.S. Department of Education Title V Grant, up to $250,000. If we raise $250,000, we get an additional $250,000! This endowment will be used for such things as offsetting the community match required to fund future capital improvements.

Also, can you imagine giving a gift to an endowment that preserves your legacy into perpetuity? It’s almost like living forever! The amount you give is permanent, and the recipient organization will usually draw 5% each year to fund anything from educational programs and staffing to equipment purchases and capital improvements, as it continues to grow through investment.

In addition to UNM-LA, the Community Foundation has several planned giving opportunities including the Arts Council (currently a seed fund to establish an endowment), Music Education, Youth Sports, Homestead Heritage, Retired and Senior Organization, Duane Smith Auditorium, Family Strengths Network, Little Theatre, Visiting Nurses, Self Help, Community Programs, Community Music Programs, Lecture Series, Leadership, as well as several more general funds.
