STEAM LAB NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos STEAM Lab is now offering full-week, half-day preschool for kids aged 3 and up.

STEAM Lab piloted a half-day program on Wednesdays and Fridays this Fall.  Kiddos attended class from 9 – 11 a.m. and had a mix of activities with most days including free-play, outdoor time, a story, and a science or craft project.  Students played with robots, used a homemade thermometer to record temperature changes, made butter, engineered the highest towers, crafted hand turkeys, and more.

This one or two day a week program will continue, but STEAM Lab will expand the options to include 4 and 5 day weeks.  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday activities will be less structured, but still organized.  They will include more outdoor time, obstacle courses, building challenges, early literacy, and lots of time for peer interaction.  The additional classes will begin in February, but enrollment is open.  The Wednesday/Friday program is also accepting enrollment.
