‘Strange Magic’ By Alexis Palmaffy Coming Soon To Step Up Gallery

STEP UP GALLERY NEWS RELEASE

Step up Gallery at Mesa Public Library invites you to enter the mystical world of visionary artist, Alexis Palmaffy–in her solo show, Strange Magic. The show opens Jan. 7 and continues until Feb. 12.

Palmaffy’s unique paintings, drawings, and copper plate etchings combine her love of nature with explorations of the supernatural. Her paintings feature vibrant colors, while her drawings and etchings showcase her exquisite line work.

Palmaffy has shown individual pieces in Los Alamos previously, but Strange Magic will be her first solo show, featuring several media. Many of the pieces will recall Tibetan art or the work of Peter Max.

Alexis has chosen to have a closing reception on Feb. 8, the Saturday before the show closes, from 2:00- 3:30 p.m. She is excited to show her body of work in the formal gallery setting of Step Up Gallery.

Step Up Gallery (https://stepupgallery.org) is on the top level of Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos, at 2400 Central Ave. The gallery is open the same hours as the library: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 1-5 p.m., Sunday.
