MESA TO MESA NEWS RELEASE

The Board of Directors of Mesa to Mesa is pleased to announce the hire of a new Executive Director to lead the organization. Jon Bulthuis began working in this role on December 9.

“Jon has the experience and skills to step into the role of Executive Director and hit the ground running in working to achieve the mission of Mesa to Mesa in the coming months and years” said Wes Horpedahl, Chairman of the Board.

Bulthuis has had a long career of public service, working with the City of Santa Fe as Transportation Department Director for 23 years, and most recently with Los Alamos County as Deputy Public Works Director for 7 years before his retirement in 2022.

“I have enjoyed my time in retirement thus far, but am grateful for the opportunity to return to the workforce and be part of this wonderful organization. I look forward to developing relationships with the clients we serve as well as the donor base and Board of Directors. The need for small home improvements throughout the Espanola Valley, Los Alamos County, and Northern Santa Fe County is great and I am looking forward to bringing such repairs to homeowners with limited incomes so they can continue to live safely in their own homes.”

This new appointment follows the retirement of Inez Leibman who served in the role of Executive Director for the past eight years.
