AMERICAN LEGION POST 90 NEWS RELEASE

For the 10th year, the American Legion Post 90 and the Legion Riders of Los Alamos are sponsoring the Wreaths Across America local ceremony to ensure that local veterans that have passed and are resting in Guaje Pines Cemetery are not forgotten.

Wreath Escort and Unloading will take place Dec. 11. This year the wreaths for the ceremony will be coming as a combined shipment with Santa Fe National Cemetery. We will meet the truck at the rest area just south of Santa Fe at 7:30 a.m. and escort it to Santa Fe National Cemetery where the wreaths will be unloaded. Wreaths destined for Guaje Pines will then be escorted to Los Alamos where they will need to be off-loaded at Guaje Pines at 11 a.m.

The Wreaths Across America ceremony will be Saturday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. The community is cordially invited for this annual ceremony to Remember, Honor, and Teach, that will coincide with the 100s of ceremonies going on all across the country at the same exact time.  

Following the ceremony, at 1 p.m., American Legion Post 90 at 1325 Trinity Drive invites all veterans, active and reserve members to join us as the Official Sponsor of the 125th Army-Navy Game for a 1 p.m. MST kick-off, where there’s always some great inter-service rivalry and camaraderie!
