TOYS FOR TOTS NEWS RELEASE

HMS Implacable, the local chapter of the Royal Manticoran Navy, is again supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Campaign. The officers and crew of HMS Implacable are asking the community to bring new, unwrapped toys to the Holiday Lights Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7 and when the Toys for Tots float passes by, the toys may be given to one of the uniformed crew members who will be walking alongside the float. Help ‘Fill the Float’ amd make sure that every child wakes up with a present under their tree.

HMS Implacable’s Toys for Tots rolling toy total is now $12920.97 and checks total $150. Cumulative crew hours to date are 268 hours. Watch for crew members at both entrances to Smith’s Marketplace on Friday, Nov. 29 and drop your donations off.

HMS Implacable is the “ship” that houses the local chapter of the Royal Manticoran Navy and is based in Los Alamos. The crew includes personnel from Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Espanola, Chimayo, Farmington, Peralta and Montezuma. In addition to their annual Toys for Tots program, HMS Implacable’s crew cleans the grounds and places Flags and Christmas wreaths at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, participates in the Big Brothers & Big Sisters “Bowl for Kid’s Sake” campaign, as well as working with Habitat for Humanity.
