LAHS Principal Renee Dunwoody Announces Departure From Position At End Of School Year

Los Alamos High School Principal Renee Dunwoody has announced her departure from her position at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

“It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that this will be my final year at Los Alamos High School. After much reflection, I have made the decision to focus on completing my doctoral degree next fall. I will finish out my contract for this school year and am excited to be part of the Class of 2025’s graduation in May.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of this wonderful school and community. From my start as a substitute teacher in the fall of 2012 to my current role, I have learned so much and created many treasured memories. I am honored to have been the Principal of Los Alamos High School for the past two years. The students, staff, and families here will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will miss you very much.

“Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being part of Los Alamos High School. I wish you all the best and will carry the lessons and experiences from this community with me as I move forward.”
