This month’s meeting will be on Tuesday Nov. 19. This month’s speaker will be Major Robert Hull USAFR.
China’s President Xi promised in 2015 to not militarize the Spratly Islands but Beijing now uses these locations to expand its intimidation and coercion of many Southeast Asian coastal states and undermine their efforts to exercise sovereign rights under internation law. Maj. Hull will discuss China’s “Nine Dashed Line” and China’s militarization of islands that are in the sovereign territory of other countries. Maj. Hull served as a Cold-War Era intelligence operations/analyst for the US Air Force covering the Czechoslovakian Prague Spring, Sputnik launches, post-Cuban Missile Crisis Soviet operations, and counter-intelligence operations. He has given talks on intelligence and unconventional weapons to national and local DHS, intelligence, and military
organizations and conferences for over 30 years.
Maj. Hull is currently the Vice President of the New Mexico Chapter of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, NM. He was formerly a USAF Security Service (USAFSS) SIGINT/ELINT Operations/Analyst and former Technical Director for Unconventional Warfare Defense Programs at Los Alamos Technical Associates Inc., Los Alamos, NM.
The meeting will begin with a social period starting at 6:00 pm. A brief meeting will start at 6:30 pm with the speaker at about 7:15 pm. An Act of Congress chartered the Military Order of the World Wars in 1919 as a national patriotic organization. The principal objectives of the MOWW are continuing service to the Nation, and patriotic educational opportunity for the nation’s youth and citizens. Current youth programs are focused upon annual Youth Leadership Conferences for high school students presented in New Mexico by its related Sunbelt Patriotic Youth Leadership Conferences, Inc. Current, former and retired federally commissioned officers of all branches of the United States Uniformed Services are eligible for membership in the MOWW and are especially invited to attend our meetings.
