JJAB NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos Public Schools, JJAB, Los Alamos County, and Family Council invite families to a
special Community Conversation event on Nov. 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at SALA.
This free event is designed to support families in building emotional intelligence through open
dialogue, shared experiences, and connection within the community.

The evening will begin with a complimentary dinner for all attendees. Following the meal, parents will join a guided program on emotional intelligence, including real-life scenarios and tools to foster meaningful conversations. There will be time for parents to engage in group discussions, connect with other parents in the community, and build valuable resources to help manage challenging emotions and conversations with their children.

While parents participate in the program, children are invited to enjoy a free screening of Inside Out 2, complete with popcorn and soda.

This event is a unique opportunity for families to come together in a supportive environment to develop skills that strengthen communication, empathy, and emotional resilience. We hope to foster a sense of community and provide practical tools that can be applied in everyday family
life.
