Tony Wasowicz To Discuss His Book ‘Ask Your Father: Conversations With Pop About War, Food, And Following Your Dreams’ On Veterans Day

COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

The Los Alamos Public Library is proud to host a special Veterans Day event with author Tony Wasowicz on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mesa Public Library.

Tony Wasowicz’s memoir “Ask Your Father: Conversations with Pop about War, Food, and Following Your Dreams” details the stories of a man whose life was shaped by his experiences as a young fighter pilot and a POW during World War II. Tony waited until his father was in his nineties to ask him about this important and formative period of his life. This new dialogue with the man he had known his whole life revealed a new set of stories about the man, his courage, and the importance of perspective.

Both Mesa Public Library and White Rock Branch Library have special holiday hours for Veterans Day. Both locations will be open from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. More information about this event, and all the other offerings from the Los Alamos Public Library can be found at LosAlamosLibrary.org.
