Rex is a Lab/Staffordshire terrier mix neutered male 1yr 5 mos. old. Rex is super sweet; he loves people and loves going on hikes we believe. He is very sweet but has a lot of energy and needs a home where he can run and play or go on hikes. Great dog plays well with other dogs well and is most likely to give in and be submissive. He is not an alpha male. Rex was surrendered to the shelter on May 26 because of restriction of the landlord. Courtesy photo

Sparks is a Husky mix, neutered male mix 1yr 4 mos. Sparks is supper sweet gets along well with other dogs and love taking hikes. Sparks needs an active home as he does have a prey drive. We have found dead mice in his cage seems to do well even with small dogs but we have not had any really small dog to see how he will do. Sparkes walked in the parade and did great with all the people and noise. He was great meeting new people and dogs- very mellow and calm. He was surrendered to the shelter on May 25. Courtesy photo

Frank is a Shepherd mix, neutered male he is 2yr 2mos. Frank came to us as a stray on July 21. Frank gets along with Sparks, and Rex. Have not had him with other dogs but seems to be ok with males and we have no females to test him with. Frank is new to leash and is learning fast. He does better on a leash now and loves to go outside.

Nemo is a Husky mix, male neutered 6mos Nemo is sweet and friendly he is good with other dogs and loves to play. Nemo is also a submissive dog not an alpha male. He is easy going and when we put him in with a chihuahua-mix that was fearful and attacked him, Nemo just lay down and made the other dog feel safe and they quickly became friends. Nemo will need to be walked and should have a yard where he can run and play. Courtesy photo

Oogie Boogie is a Chihuahua-mix, neutered male 6mos who was transferred in from Espanola Humane last week. He is very sweet and playful but needs to be introduced slowly to other dogs as he is fearful and gets aggressive, but he is getting better. He has been out in play group with Nemo and is getting better at being with him. Oogie Boogie is friendly with people. I just don’t think he has been around many dogs and takes a minute to warm up to them. Courtesy photo
