Celebrate 30 Years Of Preserving Chimayó Culture Oct. 20

CCPA NEWS RELEASE

The Chimayó Cultural Preservation Association invites the community to join us in celebrating 30 years of dedication to preserving the vibrant culture of Chimayó. This special anniversary event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chimayó Museum, featuring the re-release of Don Usner’s significant book, “Sabino’s Map: Life in Chimayo’s Old Plaza”.

Join us for an afternoon that honors our shared history and showcases the rich cultural heritage
of Chimayó. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Don Usner and connect with
community members who have played vital roles in our preservation efforts over the years.

We are also excited to present a photography exhibit featuring Don Usner’s stunning images of Chimayó, alongside a silent auction showcasing local artwork and crafts. Proceeds from the auction will support ongoing preservation initiatives.

Come celebrate with us, enjoy refreshments, and experience a musical performance by the Roswells. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our past and envision the future of Chimayó’s cultural heritage.
