Los Alamos Families and Caregivers,
I was very sorry to learn of the death of one of our Los Alamos High School students yesterday. On Wednesday, Jaden Lloyd, a Sophomore at LAHS, died peacefully at his home. I extend my deepest sympathy to Jaden’s family and friends. Jaden was loved and will be greatly missed.
We will have counselors available over the coming days for any students or adults who may need to talk to someone or need any type of assistance surrounding this loss. You can reach out to your teacher, school counselor, principal, or directly to our Crisis Response team lead, Caron Inglis at c.inglis@laschools.net.
I know our community will come together to support Jaden’s family and friends through this difficult time. I also know that this loss may bring up many feelings of sadness, confusion, or grief about other losses your family may have experienced. Please let the school know if you know of someone who needs some extra support at this time.
