The Los Alamos High School eSports Team has started off the Fall Season. Last Spring the team, Secret City eSports, was ranked the number one program in the United States by USA Today. At the NMAA State Finals in April they came in third overall with all five varsity teams earning medals.
This fall there are three additional teams competing, bringing the total to eight teams competing for LAHS. There are teams for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Splatoon 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Overwatch, Valorant, Rocket League, Hearthstone and Pokémon Unite.
On Saturday, Oct. 5, the team is hosting a Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart Tournament starting at 2 p.m. at Duane Smith Auditorium. All ages are welcome to compete. The cost is $20 for a single player and $15 for multiples.
