As of 4:22 p.m., New Mexico Department of Transportation with the assistance of Los Alamos and Santa Fe Counties has created a temporary lane shift around the accident to reopen NM 502 eastbound traffic flow following a semi-truck rollover earlier this afternoon. The incident, which was reported at approximately 1:15 p.m., involved no other vehicles.
Eastbound traffic will merge to one lane in the westbound travel lanes of NM 502, leaving one lane for westbound traffic.
Motorists should exercise caution and follow all traffic control devices. Traffic delays are expected until the area is cleaned and all lanes are reopened.
Los Alamos Police and the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office remain on the scene. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
