Joey Farmer was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held August 13 on the paved courses starting at Pinon Park (Rocket Park) in White Rock. He had a 11 second difference from his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Chris Michel at 14 seconds off; Steve Daly and Jan Velechovsky tied with a 15 second differential with Daly also the top finisher on the 1 mile course at 11:15; Catherine Hensley at 18 seconds off as well as the best female finisher in the 1 mile distance recording a 17:24; and Madeline Harms with a 20 second difference.
On the 2 mile course Teddy Atkins, Junior was first with a time of 21:02 and 12 year old Lily Nolen was the top female at 26:07.
James Zola was the best finisher in the 3 mile distance recording a 21:07 and Lynn Bjorklund was the first female with a time of 26:01.
Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the County Aquatic Center on Canyon Road. 1 mile paved and 1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.
