NEWS RELEASE

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is excited to announce the return of the Forest Explorers after-school program for Fall 2024! This engaging and adventurous program invites children to explore the beautiful canyons, creeks, and forests around the Los Alamos Nature Center.

Children will have the opportunity to build forts, observe wildlife, and learn about the local flora and fauna. Each session, led by PEEC environmental educators, will feature a different theme to encourage cooperative play and comfort in nature, emphasizing place-based learning.

Forest Explorers will be divided into two groups: 1st-3rd grade and 4th-6th grade. They will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5 p.m. beginning Aug. 27. New for 2024: Early drop-off is available for an additional $100 for the entire session or $5 per meeting on a drop-in basis. This allows parents flexibility with the new school schedule.

To register or learn more, please visit peecnature.org/events or contact kristen@peecnature.org. Space is limited to 15 participants, so sign up soon to ensure your child’s spot in this enriching outdoor adventure.
