On Nov. 5, I want every voice to be heard. As a member of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, I believe that the solution to climate change is democracy. A problem of this scale can only be solved by forming the broadest possible coalition of voters actively engaging their policymakers.

I also know that millions of people who care deeply about climate change don’t vote. Even though it’s just under 100 days until Nov. 5, there is still time to encourage as many people as possible to show up to the polls this election.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby New Mexico is hosting letter writing parties throughout New Mexico using Vote Forward’s bipartisan voter outreach campaigns. Our next event is Friday, Aug. 16 from 4-6pm at Bathtub Row. Even 10 minutes is enough time to write a couple of letters. If you can’t make it this time, stay tuned for the next one, and consider donating a book of stamps!

Citizens’ Climate Lobby New Mexico wants to provide logistical support for any organization engaged in a bipartisan get out the vote activity. We will be happy to help you conduct a bipartisan letter-writing party for your church, club, or friend group.

Phone bank or write letters from home
You can reach out to voters from the comfort of your own home! You can sign up for as few as 5 letters using one of Vote Forward’s campaigns. And all you need is a phone and an internet connection to join one of the Environmental Voter Project’s phone bank sessions. No previous training is required.
