NMDOT NEWS RELEASE
The New Mexico Department of Transportation along with Brasier Asphalt Inc. will begin a 3.1-mile pavement rehabilitation project that will include new pavement and striping on Monday July 29 in Espanola from mile marker 0 to 3.1.
Work is expected to last 21 working days. Crews will be working six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
One lane will be closed during working hours, there will be a 12-foot width restriction in place, and the speed limit will be reduced to 35 miles per hour through the work zone. At the end of each workday, all traffic control devices will be removed, and the roadway reopened to motorists.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation is committed to the safety of the traveling public and appreciates motorists’ cooperation during this work. Drivers are urged to watch out for workers in the area, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted speed limit. Updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road advisory website, http://nmroads.com/.
