LOS ALAMOS PONY CLUB NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos Pony Club is sponsoring its premier “three-day eventing” clinic for developing local riders of all ages and their horses this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 12-14.
Spectators are invited to observe at the North Mesa Fair Grounds as local riders and their horses are coached by Lynn Coates Holmes, renowned three-day ‘eventing’ clinician from Aiken, S.C.
The clinic runs throughout each day at the North Mesa Fair Grounds in Los Alamos. Observers should plan on bringing their own chair, food, and water. For Parking, please approach the Fair Grounds from San Ildefonso Road, turning onto the North Mesa Park Road.
Horse “eventing” describes the equestrian Olympic sport that includes the English riding disciplines of dressage, stadium jumping, and cross country jumping. There’s a lot of applied science behind riding horses. Mental discipline, strength, and coordination of horse and rider are lovely to watch. Witness this team-building July 12-14.
Thanks to such clinics, local riders and their horses are excelling at regional and national levels and interested folks are invited to watch and show support for our local riders.
