The community is invited to join the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) for a Suds & Shows inspiring evening featuring the film “Hidden Figures” Thursday, July 11 in the planetarium at the Los Alamos Nature Center, 2600 Canyon Road.
Relax and enjoy a great movie with a selection of delicious beverages available for cash purchase courtesy of Pajarito Brewpub, starting at 6:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at 7 p.m. Feel free to bring a picnic dinner and unwind with drinks before the screening. This event is part of ScienceFest, powered by Los Alamos Mainstreet.
“Hidden Figures” shares the remarkable true story of three African-American women mathematicians whose crucial work at NASA helped launch the first manned spaceflights, overcoming significant racial and gender barriers. Admission is $10, and advance registration is appreciated. Don’t miss this special event!
