
Los Alamos High School graduating senior Jackson Blair plans to study Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. Both of Jackson’s parents graduated from OSU.
Jackson played varsity football for three of his four years at LAHS. He was the starting defensive end, linebacker and running back. Jackson also wrestled in both middle and high school. His junior year he placed 3rd at state and his senior year he took 2nd place. He also played rugby his junior and senior years. Jackson had a season ending injury for most of his senior rugby season but he did get back in the game for the state championship round.
Jackson joined ROTC his freshman year and plans to continue with ROTC at OSU. He earned the rank of Cadet Lieutenant. He received a 3-year scholarship through the ROTC program in college. He plans on going into the army as an officer after college.
Jackson participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts since first grade. He spent countless hours earning many merit badges, camping, and hiking all over the state, culminating with his trip to crew a sailboat from the High Adventures Sea Base in St. Thomas, USVI with other scouts from Los Alamos.
Jackson is the son of Melissa and Michael Blair. He’s the older brother of Bella, a Junior at LAHS. He is the grandson of Lettie and Wayne Blair of Indiana and Louis and Teresa Nelson of South Carolina. We are all so proud of your accomplishments Jackson and cannot wait to see where life takes you.
