Jaylen Brown has changed the world in a number of different ways. Jaylen Brown is a basketball player for the Boston Celtics and he recently just signed the biggest contract in NBA history. He will use his success to help kids in poor areas, he created the 7uice foundation, and brought back Wall Street to Boston which is a movement towards community loyalty. I believe that Jaylen Brown has made a huge impact all over the world through his generous acts in different communities.
Jaylen Brown has used his $304 million dollar contract to change the lives of young children in Boston. Because of his success and helping out the community he has become very trusted around the world. “His main focus has been to bridge the gap between students in poor and underprivileged communities to education.”(The Celtics Files)
The 7uice foundation is an organization that Jaylen Brown founded. This organization partners with institutions, organizations, and social change leaders to try to get rid of racism around Boston and all around the world. The Bridge Program is a program that is made to help kids that want to learn and change the world and provide them with resources.
“About 100 students are enrolled as part of the Bridge Program, a collaboration between Brown’s 7uice Foundation, MIT Media Lab and Boston Public Schools.” (Jones) He has used his voice to help out the community and has used him being African American to be passionate towards the people he helps.
Many haters say he should just stick to focus on basketball but here’s what Brown had to say about this: “It makes sense to talk about, one, your investment in the community, but two, also, the wealth disparity here that nobody wants to talk about.”(Scotchie, quoting Brown). Brown truly just does not care about whatever anybody else has to say because he knows he is making a difference. As said earlier Brown signed last year a $304 million contract. But Jaylen is not thinking about the money for himself, instead he is thinking about all the hungry children and all the racism that goes around the world. Through these acts he has what people call, brought back Wall Street to Boston. He also mentions the wealth disparity that he has $304 million and others maybe don’t have enough to even put food on the table.
I still believe that Jaylen Brown has made an impact over people’s lives all around the world because of how he inspired them and his acts throughout the community. He has done numerous things to strengthen the community and has created many non-profit organizations such as 7uice foundation. Although this article may be a little biased because I am personally a huge Celtics fan, after reading this, has Jaylen Brown truly changed the world?
Jones, Glenn. “Jaylen Browns philanthropic work has kept him busy this offseason.”10 Boston, 7/25/23, https://www.nbcboston.com/news/sports/jaylen-browns-philanthropic-work-has-kept-him-busy-this-offseason/3098186/ ,5/8/24.
This source is very important because it talks about all of the philanthropic work that he’s done and that is basically the base of my article.
Scotchie, Luke. “Jaylen Brown wants to invest in Boston, bridge racial wealth gap with his contract money.” Boston.com, 7/28/23, https://www.boston.com/sports/boston-celtics/2023/07/28/jaylen-brown-contract-wealth-gap-boston-black-wall-street/ ,5/8/24.
This article is good because it talks about Brown’s contract and how he wants to spread out his money and help others.
“Jaylen Brown is changing the world one step at a time.” The Celtics Files, 9/17/22, https://thecelticsfiles.com/2022/09/17/jaylen-brown-is-changing-the-world-one-step-at-a-time/ ,5/8/24.
This last source is basically the finishing touch in the article because it’s about how he changed the world and my title for the article is how he changed the world.
