BY HEATHER MCCULLOCH

On Saturday night, April 13, at the Posse Lodge, the band SYZYGY and friends put on an incredibly fun and entertaining benefit concert to help me out with medical bills due to several surgeries that I have had for breast cancer.

I cannot begin to put into words how much I appreciate the wonderful support and help this provided me with. We sang, laughed, danced, celebrated LIFE, and created music together. I am out of the woods and cancer-free now.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support me and everyone who made this event possible. I especially want to thank Syzygy band members: Michelangelo Lobato (guitar & vocals), Nick Denissen (keyboards), Kile Uhlenbrock (drums & vocals), and David Hamsing (bass).

Thank you to Craig Reingold for his sound engineering and awesome acoustic bass playing.

Thank you to these amazing performers for singing such passionate and gorgeous songs: Anya Seet, Spencer MacDonald, Paddy Kean, Daisy and Patricia McCulloch, Seona Zimmerman, Heather Beemer, and Peija Cole.

Thank you Heather Beemer for all of the henna you did for everyone to bring in more donations and to Quinn Marksteiner for your incredible saxophone performance.

A super big thank you to vocal coach, Mary Morton, for working with all of the singers for this event and helping to organize their numbers. Mary is a fantastic, inspiring, and very skilled voice coach and I am so grateful to her for helping all of us develop strong vocal skills and confidence in ourselves to perform for others.

In addition, thank you to Seona Zimmerman, Elisa Enriquez, Holly Robinson, and Cecilia Sadler for their ideas, organization, and implementation of this awesome event. You all are amazing!

The photos of this event were shared with me by Thomas Graves and I am so grateful to him for capturing these memorable pictures that I will treasure.

The last 6 months have been a rollercoaster of medical and emotional challenges that I could not have made it through without the help and support of others. Thank you to everyone for meals, flowers, gifts, cards, encouragement, accompaniment to medical appointments, love, hugs, and understanding my absence at many events. What an inspiring and generous community of friends and family I am blessed to have. This was the best gift ever and I am deeply touched by everyone’s love and generosity. All of the money donated will be used for my medical expenses.

THANK YOU ALL!
