Weekly Pace Races Off To A Great Start

Three participants tied for top predictor in the April 9 weekly pace race held on the service road at the bottom of Main Hill just off State Route # 502.  Holly Walker, Felix Candia, and David Kunsberg were all 1 second off their predicted time.  Other accurate predictors were:  Sonja Behnke recorded a 5 second difference; Aurea Rojas was 6 seconds off; Jesse Woodroffe had a 7 second differential; and Zeke Wilmot recorded 10 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course the best finisher was Garrett Rust with a time of 10:59 and the top female was Lisa Johnson at 11:48.

Andrea Mucchietto was the first finisher recording a 21:38 and Madeline Harms was the best female finisher with a time of 26:23.

On April 16, two participants Lisa Johnson and Mary Knaak tied for top predictor in the race held on the Canada del Buey Trail in White Rock at 3 seconds off their predicted time.  Johnson was also the first female finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 11:44.  Other accurate predictors were:  Priscila Rosa with a 6 second differential; Zach Medin at 18 seconds off; Chris Michel recording a 22 second difference; and Felix Candia at 31 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course 13 year old Anders Medin was the best finisher recording a 8:14.

Eric Anderson had a 19:49 time for top finisher in the 3 mile distance and Madeline Harms was the first female finisher in that distance recording a time of 25:52.

Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:00 PM out on North Mesa beyond the horse stables just North of the rodeo arena.  1 and 3 mile dirt/gravel courses will be available.
