Brian Newnam was the best predictor in the opening of the 50th season of the pace race series at 6 seconds off his predicted time on the Canyon Rim Trail. Other accurate predictors were: Felix Candia with a 17 second differential; Warren Scoggins at 13 seconds off; Lynn Bjorklund recording a 33 second difference as well as the first female finisher in the 3 mile course with a time of 23:27; and Roxana Candia at 34 seconds off.
On the 1 mile course the top finisher was 13 year old Adrian Medin at 6:27 and the first female was Lisa Johnson recording a 11:40.
Paul Geimer with 1 year old Iris Geimer was the best finisher on the 3 mile course with a time of 18:50.
Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. on the road to the sewage plant, which is located by turning left from State Route # 502 down Main Hill just past the the State Route # 4 White Rock sign junction. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.
