Members of the community are cordially invited to The Family YMCA’s 2024 Annual Gala – The Roaring 20s – on Saturday April 20,  2024. The Gala will take place at La Fonda in Santa Fe and starts at 5 p.m. 

The Gala will feature a silent and live auction including auction items such as a scenic helicopter ride and a two-night stay at the Blake in Taos. The Los Alamos Jazz Combo will play live 20’s music before and after dinner. For more than twenty years this has been an engaging and fun-filled community event, helping to support families and youth in our community.  We encourage you to come, dress up for the theme and have a stylish and fun evening.
 
The Gala raises funds for the Annual Campaign which in 2023 awarded close to 150 scholarships valued at over $85,000. The Family YMCA has a motto: “We don’t turn anyone away for their inability to pay”. The Annual Campaign will provide financial assistance through need-based scholarships for childcare, memberships and programs as well as program support for our Teen Centers in Los Alamos and Española. 
 
Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased by calling the YMCA at 505-662-3100, come in to the front desk or by going to Eventbrite and search for The Family YMCA Eventbrite. Note that $50 is considered a charitable donation to the extent allowed by law.
  
If you’re not already convinced to come, here’s a peak at the menu!  After a fresh salad, you can choose between Char-Grilled Top Sirloin with grilled Yukon gold potatoes, grilled squash, peppers and onions, avocado chimichurri or Grilled Cauliflower Steak (GF) huitlacoche tamale, quinoa, broccolini, black bean sauce.  Then to sweeten the deal, finish off with some Chocolate Lava Cake!
