100 MEN WHO CARE NEWS RELEASE

100 Men Who Care Los Alamos held their first post-COVID event last Thursday, March 14 at SALA Event Center.

The group meets quarterly for a 30-minute social with simple food and drink, and to hear three pre-selected organizations make a five-minute presentation. The group then votes on the one with the most compelling need and each writes a check for $100 (or more) directly to the selected organization.

At this event the group heard from The League of Women Voters Los Alamos, Los Alamos Public Schools Odyssey of the Mind Booster Club, and The Family YMCA. The event was attended by 25 men who selected LAPS Odyssey of the Mind Booster Club as the recipient. Odyssey of the Mind received $3,178 in donations, with more expected from members who couldn’t attend the event. The event was sponsored by N3B, with support from the Los Alamos Community Foundation.
