Obituary: James S. Bingham – Mar. 3, 2024

We mourn the loss of our beloved James S. Bingham, 39, who departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM, from complications related to a seizure disorder. We find solace knowing he is now at peace and celebrate how his spirit lives on through those whose lives were transformed because of his generosity as an organ donor.

James, a native of Los Alamos, found joy in both his family and his daily motorcycle rides to work, even during the winter months. His love for video games was secondary only to the pride he took in his children.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cara M. Bingham. His children Zachary 12, Abel 7 and Aalilyah 6 of Los Alamos, NM.  His parents Richard and Cindy Bingham of Los Alamos, NM. Sister Carrie (Nathan) Monk of Kennewick, WA, Brother Tyler (Chrislynne) Bingham of White Rock, NM. Brother Jeremy (Jesse Davila) Bingham of San Ildefonso, NM. Grandmother Theresa Monte of Rio Rancho, NM. In addition, he leaves behind his in-laws Mark and Laura Hughes of La Mesilla, NM. brother-in-law Bradley of La Mesilla, NM. sisters-in-law Ashley (Ashley) Lesansee-Hughes of Albuquerque, NM. Multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Join us in celebrating the life and legacy of James at New Beginnings Fellowship in Los Alamos, New Mexico on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1 p.m. A burial will follow at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM.

In lieu of flowers a memorial account has been set up at Los Alamos Schools Credit Union under James Brigham Memorial.  And a GoFundMe page has been set up for the family:
