DALA Dancers Place In Top 12 For Large Ensemble At Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Final In Denver

Dance Arts Los Alamos attended the Youth America Grand Prix Regional Semi-Final competition in Denver, CO from February 21-24. DALA took 12 dancers to represent the studio at this competition. The dancers were coached by DALA Director Jonathan Guise, DALA Rehearsal Director Rachel Zervakos, and DALA Associate Director Karina Wilder.

DALA’s Large Ensemble piece, “Re-Imagined” received one of the Top 12 scores for Large Ensemble at the competition! This is the first time DALA has received an award attending this prestigious competition. Congratulations to dancers Ciara Hinrichs, Anabel Irving, Margaret Kelley, Ariana Kimball, and Sasha Simakov, on their amazing work and choreographers Jonathan Guise and Rachel Zervakos for their hard work coaching the dancers. You can see this piece during the Intermediate and Advanced Dancers Mixed Repertoire Showcase on May 4, at 7 p.m. at the Duane Smith Auditorium.
