Los Alamos Police Department has announced that the Truck Route will remain closed for several hours due to the severity of a traffic crash that occurred at the intersection of East Jemez Road and La Mesita Road, the entrance to TA-53.

According to Cmdr. Daniel Roberts, three people were transported from the scene by Los Alamos Fire Department. Four vehicles were involved in the crash and LAPD is investigating the scene.

Drivers are asked to seek alternative routes until further notice.
