LAPS NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) encourages students and families to join in celebrating the LAPS transportation staff on National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day Thursday, Feb. 22.

LAPS currently employs 15 route drivers and four assistants providing coverage for all bus routes in the district. The district also has eight substitute bus drivers and one substitute bus assistant. Keith Rosenbaum is the Director of Transportation, and also serves as a substitute driver or assistant when needed. Chris Smith is the Transportation Specialist and Matt Romero is the mechanic in the transportation department.

Bus drivers include Bobbie Jo Anderson, Diana Bequette, Aubrey Brown, David Coleman, Lauren Fields, Rosalie Hammon, Linda McDonald, Rachael Morrison, Gerald Murrell, Gavin Oaxaca, Sarah Petty, Sky Rodriguez, Pablo Ruiz, Jeff Sandoval, and Josh Smith. The department’s bus assistants are Lyda Dumbledore, Lori Hayward, Frank Marshall and Katie Rosenbaum.

Substitute drivers include Julie Aldersebaes, Sarah Coronado, Charles Flowers, Consuelo Montoya, Lisa Reader, Chris Smith, Jim Steritz, and Doug Weiss.

Bus assistants include Lydia Davis, Lori Hayward, Frank Marshall and Katie Rosenbaum. Sandy Keller is a substitute assistant.
